Sababu Fund Inc. ("Sababu Fund," "we," "us") is a community nonprofit providing relief and emotional support to members and families. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use sababufund.org, apply for membership, donate, subscribe to updates, or contact us.

Information we collect
- Contact & account data — name, email, phone, password (stored hashed), and messages you send through our forms.
- Membership applications — household and family details you provide when applying or renewing.
- Payment data — payment amounts, status, and references. Card details are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Messaging — phone numbers used to send or receive SMS/WhatsApp notices related to membership, contributions, or support (when you have opted in or are an active member).
- Usage data — basic site analytics (for example page views) to understand how the site is used.
How we use information
- Process membership applications, renewals, donations, and receipts
- Respond to contact requests and administer member support
- Send operational email and, where applicable, SMS/WhatsApp notices
- Send newsletters if you subscribe (you may unsubscribe anytime)
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example Stripe for payments, email delivery, hosting, and messaging providers), and when required by law. Those providers may process data only to perform services for us.
Retention & security
We retain membership, payment, and communication records as needed for operations, accounting, and legal requirements. We use industry-standard safeguards (encrypted connections, access-controlled admin tools, hashed passwords). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
- Update or correct account information by contacting us
- Unsubscribe from marketing/newsletter emails via the link in those messages or by emailing us
- Request access to or deletion of personal data, subject to legal and membership recordkeeping needs
Children
Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 online. Family details on membership applications are provided by the applying adult member.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
